This Stagg MF1620 External Bass Drum Tone Control is a snap-on dampening ring which grips the bass drum hoop on the outside of the drum to offer controllable external damping of the bass drum and thereby improve sound control and depth of tone. It has rubber cushions on the clamp surfaces to eliminate any damage to the wooden hoop of the bass drum.
